Amid the echoing chants of sesontengan from Bali's forests on Tumpek Bubuh Day, Kadek Bayu, a ten-year-old farmer’s son, embarks on an adventure filled with curiosity. Tumpek Bubuh is a sacred day for celebrating, honoring, and giving thanks to nature, and Kadek, with his innocent and joyful spirit, eagerly helps prepare for the celebration.
Over three adventurous days, Kadek and his friends explore the natural world, gathering young coconut leaves, flowers, and fruits as offerings for the Tumpek Bubuh rituals.
Through these experiences, Bayu learns about the importance of protecting nature and preserving tradition.
On the day of the Tumpek Bubuh celebration, Bayu and his family present offerings to the trees, paying respect to the nature that sustains their lives. Wana Kerthi: A Celebration for Nature is a story of how nature and tradition are interwoven in daily life, teaching us all about the harmonious relationship between humans and the environment.
